Trout Tapestry Project 2007-2008

Organized and led once again by Tara Siudy, 25 TIC teachers from all over southern New York (and a few from other states!) participated in this collaborative work. Students from each class made and exchanged trout-themed letters or poetry accompanied by decorated fabric squares.   This year's Trout Tapestry Project was made possible by support from the Catskill Watershed Corporation, in partnership with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection.

The following teachers attended our spring meetings in March 2008, and brought their quilts with them (in order: Ellen Ramey, Pawling, NY; Sarah and Donna Schirrman, Pine Bush, NY; Doreen Gleason and Deborah Gilson, Cornwall, NY; and Karen Merker, Kingston, NY.):

Courtney Rodgers from Fisherville, VA, also participated with her students, and shared the following picture.
